Toddler Shape Activity

This is something to make when teaching shapes. Using construction paper (I let her pick out different colors for each shape) cut out one large square, 2 medium triangles, 2 small diamonds, and one small triangle. I made a complete kitty face first, with the square as a face, the med. triangles glued on as ears, the diamonds for eyes, and the small triangle for the nose.

Then I drew on the mouth and whiskers. I put glue on the pieces made for her kitty and told her to put them on the kitty face so it would look like mommy's. Then she counted out and drew on the whiskers, etc.
