Dr. Seuss books are generally filled with great pictures. The kids will have a great laugh seeing how silly these pictures are and how they go along with the craziness of the story.
See if you can find some pages on the Internet that you can print out for the kids to color. They will have a ball coming up with their ideas for eggs and ham. Who know you may have pink eggs and purple ham before it’s all over with. That’s what it’s all about though. Giving them a chance to hear a story from someone else’s wild imagination and then using their own imaginations to create their story with.
You might also give them some green eggs and ham to eat. It’s pretty easy to do and if you have a microwave available you can warm them up some so they won’t be so awful to try. Make scrambled eggs tinted with green food coloring. Add some ham pieces while they are cooking. Be sure to keep them refrigerated until it’s time to pull them out. Once the kids see green eggs and ham you may not be able to get them to try it. It will be fun watching the expirations on their face and the words they whisper to each other. Who knows they may even enjoy eating it too.
