Create an egg carton worm - an easy craft for your toddler
|
Guidelines 1-1-2
You can link this egg carton worm craft to a recycling theme or a worm/creepy crawly theme. A great go-along book is Eric Carles The Very Hungry Caterpillar. You will need: empty egg carton, poster paints, pipe cleaners, black marker.
Make two holes about the eyes and thread one pipe cleaner through the holes so that it is equal in length on both sides. Twist it to represent the antennae.
If you are not too squeamish why not go and look for some real earthworms outside. Encourage your toddler not to hurt them but just to watch them about their business.
Be careful when turning over stones as spiders and scorpions live under stones.
